Terrific aromas of brambly red cherries, wet earth, lovely spice and mineral. So fragrant. Awesome. Licorice and strawberry. So clearly defined. Juicy and light to medium bodied with vibrant early season cherry and ripe velvety tannins. Hint of rusticity on the finish lets you know this is Irancy. Excellent.

Sep 13th, 2020New single vineyard called Les Cailles from Thierry. So great. Big stanky cherry and mineral on the nose. Some licorice as well. Very aromatic. Palate has big fruit and big acid and so much of that rustic and tannic mineral Irancy charm. But remains elegant and sappy. Nice freshness on the very long finish. Excellent.

Thierry Richoux ‘Irancy Les Cailles’ 2013: Medium-bodied. Incredible balance between acidity & tannins. Fresh elegant taste. Notes of cranberry, pomegranate, lavender, mushroom & cedar. Long soft finish. An excellent young & fresh wine selection for starting off our Thanksgiving dinner. Each sip provided smiles by all! All in all, a gorgeous wine! Great day to all! Cheers🍷

Blast from the past.
Nose is earthy. Some spice. Cherry.
Lovely juicy cherry fruit. Good texture. Remarkably fresh.
This has aged wonderfully.
Improves as it opens. More depth and darker cherry.
This was perfect with chicken liver pate and mostarda with a salad.
An hour in quite good. More depth and density. Spice. Hint of licorice. Grippy. Delicious.
