May 21st, 2020Holy Chenin! Chenin in 2015 in Loire is unreal. Maybe best young vintage since 2002. This is ridiculous. Awesome Riesling crystalline quality nose of lemon peel, minerals, fresh cut almonds, some wet hay. Palate is even more Riesling-esque. Stunning palate. Just perfect. Balance is extraordinary as is the crystalline quality. So mineral, long and juicy with a sense of serious underlying material and density. Stunning sappy and authoritative flavors command your attention on the finish. The finish lasts for minutes. I can't believe how stunning this is.
