These bottles have all been petillant, so I decanted this ahead to get rid of the spritz. Lovely blue, black fruits. Tannins are firm. Oak here is a tad too much for my palate.

Jul 14th, 2021Pop and pour. A touch of sparkle to start, but blows off with time open. On the nose: soft earth, very NSG with soft funk, rainier cherry and strawberry, soft vanilla. On the palate: fantastic acidity, strawberry, pomegranate, soft earth. Light-bodied, but good density, then the tannin kicks in and finishes this out. Nice finish.

Tobacco red fruit earth on the nose - on the palate: super cherry, bright!, long finish with a touch of something savoury, hint of spice. Very delicate for Côte de Nuits.
