Pinotage

Classic pinotage. Fruit forward, maybe berries and old pear. lingers in a tart way. I think the negative reviews are by those who haven’t had much pinotage. Underrated grape and The Wedge is pretty solid for the price point.

Great wine. Stewed dark fruit on the nose and palate and hint of red fruit and mint at the finish.

Excited to try this indigenous grape from S Africa, but wasn’t blown away. Loved the surfer label, but not what’s inside the bottle. Will definitely experiment with Pinotage again though.

Smooth table wine with berry accents. Delicious!
