More mature than I expected. Also a sort of earthiness on the finish making it less intensely sweet than might be expected, still packed full of treacle and butterscotch and fudge and all sorts of yummy things, and very long finish.

One of the greatest sweet wines i've ever tried. Honey, sweet friuts, peppermint and orange zest, marmalade and a little bit spicy. Great acidity and wonderful balance. Wow!

Amazing 1996 royal tokaji brought by our friends who visited Hungary. Wonderful herbal notes and some honey. Fantastic with dessert - panna cotta with honey and balsamic.
