The Paring
Santa Ynez Valley Syrah
Big, dark, bold new world syrah. Smoke, black fruit, anise. Surprisingly soft tannins for such a big wine.

Feb 29th, 2020Still a bit too young, but with good concentration. Still, easy to drink, with very inviting aromas, and layers of flavors in the palate.
I will probably keep it for 3-4 more years before I open the next bottle.

Pretty average wine, overly tannic even after breathing for a couple hours. Not one to rush out and buy, but decent table wine to pair with leftovers or an otherwise meh kind of meal
