As a former member of the Ojai wine club (wanking motion), I’ve had a lot of their Syrah. This is by far the best I’ve had. So balanced. All of the familiar muted black pepper is there. Dry dark fruits and leather zest. Syrah can go a lot of different ways. Thankfully the homie Adam Tolmach is not known for game meats, either. Ain’t any boar on the floor to be had here. Basically this is the ideal final form of all things Ojai.
