Cuvée Henry Daniel Syrah

Goodbye to another old wine friend. Last of nine bottles purchased in several auction lots since 2010. Some bottle variation, but six of the nine have been spectacular. This one still had plenty of life left. Good fill, cork and color. Fruit was still intact and just a nice Syrah profile. I keep saying I won’t buy more, but I always do.

One of the best California Syrahs I've had. Roughly 1/3 each Bien Nacido, Melville and Roll Ranch. Meaty, Beefy, Big and Bouncy.

In prime time.

I think this my favorite wine ever

Eighth bottle. Some variation, but most have been stellar. This one was obviously well stored - good fill and perfect cork. Still drinking very well and showing ageability of Santa Barbara wines. Drink at cellar temp.

Another superb bottle.

Superb. Glad that every time I think I'm down to my last bottle I manage to find a couple more. Drinking very well on pop and pour.

Still going strong. One of my top five favorite Cali Syrah bottlings.
