Jan 8th, 2016 It's Friday, time to open a nice California blend. Dark ruby in color with a light purplish rim. Huge vanilla nose (like swimming in the barrel), with blackberries, figs, wood, cloves, spices, cherries, licorice, cooked plums, and black pepper. Full bodied and balanced with medium plus acidity and great legs. Fruity and smooth on the palate, with blackberries, blueberries, cherries, plums, vanilla, licorice, Earth, Cola, dark chocolate and peppercorn. Spicy finish with very fine tannins and almonds. A Great blend that resembles a Napa red. Very enjoyable and big. Good by itself or with grilled meats. 15.1% alcohol by volume.
