375ml. Initially, immediately after opening, this wine displayed aromas of Inquisition dungeon, shower curtain, and despair. However, after 2 hours, that all blew off and other, pleasant aromas of tree bark, coffee, cinnamon, herbs, and pepper, over still fairly lively primary fruit such as red currant, with stewed plum and fig, and bacon. If you can get this vintage in 750ml or larger format, you will be happy. This wine continues to evolve well in the glass so that's it. — 8 years ago
Oooo Surprise like Spanish Inquisition. NOBODY expects the Spanish Inquisition! What a rich aroma, typical Rioja but from the shelf above compare to price - meaty, fruity & smoky. In mouth mulberry, ripe blackberries mixed with round body and vibrant acidity, soft tannins and salty/sweet licorice finish. Now They can burn me at the stake. Cheers. — 9 years ago

This is a great Monastrell from Spain through our First Leaf Club. This Spanish wine is all about balance and power. (However I cant help but think about Monty python poking fun at the Spanish Inquisition when I talk about Spain being a world power...lol) . However when it comes to wine, they are a world power. The tannins are smooth and perfectly balanced with a voluptuous body and plummy fruit flavors with a kiss of allspice and clove. This wine Paris eel with pizza, chorizo and Spanish food. — 6 years ago
