Treo Winemaker's California Merlot Blend

Ruby in color with a wide reddish rim.

Fruity nose of blackberries, blueberries, cherries, licorice, oak, vanilla, spices, chocolates, mocha, tobacco, earth and black pepper.

Medium to full bodied with medium acidity and nice legs.

Dry and fruity on the palate with blackberries, black currants, plums, spices, vanilla, wood, coffee, chocolates, tobacco, beef jerky and peppercorn.

Medium plus in finish with fine grained tannins and tangy raspberries.

This is a nice California Red Blend. Well balanced and enjoyable by itself or with food. Showing mild complexity and a nice mouthfeel.

Tastes like a typical California Red Blend. This 4 year old is still drinking nicely, but won't last for long. Wine Enthusiasts 84 points.

A blend of mainly Petite Sirah with Syrah, Zinfandel, Merlot and a hint of Malbec.

I paired it with a lamb burger and sweet potatoe fries. (cheat day 😊)

Too thin. Not worth the price.

Good looking wine, full bodied upon immediate sip. A little acidity. But very strong nose, and very bitter finish. Don’t like the finish.

Fruit forward with light dry finish without heavy tannins

Just awful. Literally poured it down the drain and it was not corked.

Light, smooth red with little tannins. Cherry flavors.

Good chugging red. I don’t get the bitter comments, but I’ve only had the 2014. Nice restrained fruit, not much in the way of tannin... What’s not to like?

Tall grass. Really nice spice for a blend. Leans toward cab. Still nicely rounded/smooth

This medium-bodied wine has ripe and semisweet flavors like cherry juice and plum jam that give a soft impression on the palate. The blend is a mix of Syrah, Zinfandel, Merlot and a hint of Malbec resulting in a wine that is rich and full of flavor. The red fruits are ripe and bold, but not overly so. Tannins are purposefully softer and easy drinking
