A big wine, but smooth and balanced. Held up to a curry dish nicely.

Never go searching for wine on a Tuesday night! Cellar organization is low on my list of priorities and this is an excellent example of an amazing wine that can sit and wait to be uncorked. But really given the reality of picking something I really love and picking something that was pretty good I made a home run selection. Holly loves this wine (shocker) and I am pretty fond of it as well. My only thinking here is that it could have been played out a little better, sort of like Spieth looking at that par 3 and thinking - don't go short and keep it out of the water (not once but twice) but I regress, tomorrow looks like a complete write off at this point because I doubt I can re-cork it and save some for tomorrow. This is a great wine, don't pull a Conroy and drink it early - this gem can pass the test of time. Enjoy!
