The Hess Collection
North Coast Sauvignon Blanc
Light yellow in color with a golden hue.
Nice nose of lemons, citrus, green apples, grapefruits, minerals, spices and white pepper.
Full bodied with medium plus acidity and creamy.
Dry on the palate with limes, grapefruits, citrus, green apples, bitter vegetables, herbs and white pepper.
Medium plus in finish with bitter almonds and herbs.
This is a nice Californian Sauvignon Blanc. Well balanced, creamy and simple. A little bitter for my taste, but better with food.
Needs to be properly chilled.
I paired it with spicy chicken wings.
13.5% alcohol by volume.

Restaurant pour, so not a lot of time to concentrate. Labeled “Hess sauvignon blanc” on the menu, so assuming this is the right one.
NOSE: salty citrus melon.
TASTE: as it smells, but the melon is … rich and tropical. Not watermelon, not something green. Really good! 91-92.

Really good value for money. Bright, lemon/lime, grass, green apple and lychee flavors. Easy to drink alone, but also pairs well with food.
