Skin-fermented, methode ancestrale, unfined, unfiltered and undisgorged NZ Sauv Blanc—very interesting. Wasn’t so sure at first but it really grew on me with my meal. I’d have another one.

Jul 15th, 2020This is a wild one. Dark yellow and cloudy. That this unfiltered skin-contact white with little sulfur has some brett on the nose is almost redundant to mention. Aroma of funky citrus fruits, most notably peach and tangerine. Light bodied, tart apple, lime, orange, with some bitterness. Tannins are there but a minor player. Not terribly complex but this has an attractive ancestral appeal.
