The weekend is back on track, this is great. Not sure if I’ve ever tasted anything less than excellent from the Calistoga area. Very fragrant Cabernet, plenty of fruit, lavender and some gummy candy and caramel. Palate has tannins and heat initially but this smooths out after an hour in the decanter. Black cherry and floral flavours with some mineral undertones and a medium length finish. Really enjoyed this one.

Love this wine from Calistoga. Purple in color. Great fruit. Some pepper. Balanced tannins. A bit of oak on the nose disappearing in the mouth. Decant it an hour and it really comes alive.
