A great experience trying this revered South African Grenache Blanc from The Foundry. There’s chamomile, lemon, stone, white peach, marzipan, gorgeous ripe juicy limey acidity, which all smells very Rhône-y. Very elegant on the palate, full bodied with an almost oily texture, juicy acidity and lovely breadth. Somehow this seemed even more intense on the second night. Excellent stuff. Capacity to age? Not sure as it’s so good now, but willing to try...
