This is like, “the occult” of the wine world, Pinot Noir’s evil twin, per se. The color is medium, not pale ruby. The nose has pronounced notes of roses, red cherry, cranberry, hints of wet leaves and leather… on the palate the wine is dry, medium alcohol, highly tannic, highly acidic, and full bodied. You perceive moderate flavours of ripe red cherry, some spice even, somewhat round with a long complex finish. One of the most interesting wines I’ve ever, ever, ever ever ever, tested. I could keep going about this wine but ultimately, you just got to try it. Cheers.
