The Dreaming Tree
California Cabernet Sauvignon
Dark ruby in color with a red/ brick rim.
Fruity nose of blackberries, black currants, plums, cherries, oak, vanilla, licorice, cloves, herbs, bell pepper, green vegetables, alcohol, chocolates, tobacco, dust, earth and black pepper.
Full bodied with medium acidity and nice legs.
Fruity and dry on the palate with blackberries, plums, blueberry pie, vanilla, cloves, tobacco, coffee, oak, earth, chocolates, peppercorn, spices and light vegetables.
Medium plus in finish with very soft tannins and spices.
This 4 year old California Cabernet, is drinking very nicely now with nice balance and mild complexity.
Peaking now, and lost much of its green vegetable notes by now. A good food wine or just to sip on, all by itself. Good right out of the bottle, but better after an hour in a decanter.
This 2013 vintage was exceptionally good, and it is showing on this $15 red wine.
A good everyday wine.
13.5% alcohol by volume.

Delicious with grilled red meat and vegetables, holds up well to the hearty marinades I used on each. Great label reading and art work contributed by Dave Matthews himself!
