Really wonderful. Golden sunset body, slight oxidation on the nose, with the shift of smoke. Not sure why this is sold as a white, since it’s merlot with at least some skin contact, but the slight tannin plays so well with the ox and the smoke and the sugar—a really killer wine with spicy fatty food, which, let’s be realistic, is often what’s on the plate. Will buy two more bc I can’t wait to see where these are in 2-4.
