Terre di Carlin
Barbaresco Nebbiolo

I’ve been waiting a week for the “experts” at @Delectable Wine to identify this correctly. I finally said “fuck it” and posted it with the wrong ID just so I wouldn’t forget about it. It’s the 2019 Terre di Carlin Barbaresco. (Not Massimo Rivetti).
A fruity, open, and straightforward bargain-priced weeknight Barbaresco. Nose shows spiced cherry, fresh and dried. A bit of leather and minerally earth. On the palate, it’s got nicely-concentrated fruit and decent acids. The tannins are soft and in the background. This is for short-term drinking while waiting for its more structured peers to come around. Great value.
