Cranberry and just-ripe cherries. A touch of tomato leaf and sea salt. Ripe and well-balanced; not volatile or skinny at all. One of the very best Rossese I’ve ever tasted.

In a great spot right now. A medium-weight, lifted and delicate wine in this vintage; has the usual cranberry, tomato water, savory elements...but open and feminine. Always a fascinating drink. #rossese #liguria #terrebianche

Drink more Rossese. High-toned, wild, savory, juicy, perfumed with herbs and garrigue. Light on its feet, but complete and satisfying. #terrebianche #liguria #rossese #dolceacqua

Jeebus. Driven 900 mi, Coravin'd five times & dumped in a box in my living room. Two weeks later: the best Ligurian red you can imagine! Cranberries, framboise, tomato water and lift. My score is probably conservative; I keep thinking of comparisons, and Lapierre is the only thing coming to mind.

I am really loving this wine. Variety: Rossese from the Ligurian appellation Dolceaqua. Roses, black pepper, with a pleasing bitterness.

Rossese DOC 2012. This grape, grown in Liguria, produces a light colored wine, quite elegant. Spicy nose, almost bitter. I could smell seaweeds! I did not like the taste.

Somewhat less seamless than other rossese I’ve had, but still a nice wine. Pretty crimson in the glass. Definitely benefits from a bit of a chill. Medium acid, medium fruit, medium earth. Finish slightly muddled. Good pairing with sausages.
