"Odedi"

Dark ruby in color with a short purple rim.

Strong nose of blackberries, black currants, cedar, vanilla, earth, cloves, spices, black tea, bell pepper, green herbs, bitter vegetables, graphite and peppercorn.

Medium plus in body with medium plus acidity.

Dry on the palate with black currants, black plums, cherries, vanilla, licorice, oak, dark coffee, green vegetables, bell pepper, earth, leather, herbs, bitter almonds, tar and peppercorn.

Medium finish with medium tannins and bitter herbs.

This Mendoza Malbec is still young and unbalanced, but showing mild complexity. Still a little bitter, but that will hopefully go away with time.

A good food wine that will pair nicely with a grilled steak.

Needs 2 hours to open up and will be better in 3 to 5 years in the bottle.

14% alcohol by volume.

Not like any traditional Malbec and we love Malbecs. This one is light and fruity and lacks any sense of balance.

I usually stay away from Malbecs because they're too dry but this is mild and light and delicious to drink before dinner.

Lovely High-altitude Malbec, shared by Pulis' at b-day. Dry cherry, full flavor and nice ruby color, a little spicy finish and a touch of raspberry on the palette - a little light and tart/tannic for a Malbec. High alcohol, especially in day 2 and 3.
