Wonderful Super-Tuscan IGT, 40% Merlot, 40% Syrah, 20% Cab Franc. V.2010. Unbelievably Smooth!
Decanted it for 45 mins, the aromatics were to the roof, the opening had an amazing medley red fruits, açaí berries, some violet flowers, intense on the dark plum and cherries.
On the palate, a subtle touch of marmalade, baked dark cherries and velvety taste with mouth-coating juiciness, medium tannins, long but smooth finish. A perfect companion with hearty Italian dishes, pizzas and reduce pastas and ton of cheese. Hard to have one glass only.
Another gem of Terralsole (Land Towards the Sun), a very small family-owned, an organic winery located in the Southern Tuscany. They truly produce award-winning Brunello di Montalcino, and exceptional Super-Tuscans IGT.
