Estate Wurtele Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon

Wow. Can’t believe how well this has held up between three moves and less than perfect summer storage conditions. Intense aromas of macerated blackberry, cherry cordial, and baked blueberry. The palate is round with a shy entry leading into a smooth, long finish of black fruit, toasted cedar, white pepper and a hint of black licorice. Served with a Porterhouse steak from the Sierras.

There is something about this wine that I have been unable to describe, but it is like no other Napa cab....i love it.

Lots of fruit and tannin still.

Very dry flavorfull

Why we age cab! So silky smooth. Very little tannin. Lots of cocoa notes on the nose.

Past it's prime, but still decent

Let breathe for an hour and 20, absolutely delicious no sharp edge until about the 2 hour mark then down hill fairly quickly. Fantastic in the mean time though, had with steak, garlic ciabatta bread and sugar peas with chocolate Petit fours for dessert

Give this baby some air!! Tight nose and extremely high in OH, but gets better with air and time. Nice strawberry fruit and solid finish.
