Terra Valentine
Estate Grown Spring Mountain District Cabernet Sauvignon
A blend of 77% Cab Sauv, 13% Merlot, 7% Syrah, 3% Petite Sirah & 1% Cab Franc, deep Ruby with aromas of rich ripe berry fruits, cedar and earthy herb spice. On the palate flavors of blackberry, black cherry and plum, with cacao, tobacco and oaky notes. Nice balance, soft chewy tannins, long finish ending with creamy vanilla spice and cedar character. Nice value!

Nov 14th, 2020Happy to find this wine when I did. Showing tons of “other than fruit” characteristics on the nose, this wine smells older than it is. Little bit of bret, but the good kind! Dark black fruit and olive tapenade waft out of the glass while blackberry seed, tobacco and black cherry leaf the way on the palate. The body is full in the middle but lean on the edges because of the bright acidity which lifts the wine throughout. Drink now through 7-13 years!

Sep 17th, 2017Needed some cooking wine for my braised short ribs. I bought a case of this for about $20 per bottle. It's nice. A little green, but a solid Napa cab. Very fresh and fruity. I think it will do the job nicely

Nov 29th, 2015Drinking well right now. Ripe fruit and sweet, toasty oak. Should be good over the next 5 years.
