Deep and dark blackish purple. Abundant nose of dark cranberry and vanilla tobacco. Medium full palate yields black cranberry, raw vanilla, and tobacco. Medium plus tannins. Medium acidity. Tempranillo from the region that says it’s theirs and theirs alone (they call it “Tinta de Toro”). Dark red fruit and tobacco aligned with food friendly acidity makes a wine that you can take to any dinner at an incredibly reasonable price. QPR is amazingly high as will be your satisfaction. Drink now through 2024.

Sipping Fine Wine

Simple wine, dark Ruby red with black fruit aromas and spice notes. On the palate ripe blackberry and plum flavors with black pepper and strong tannins. Medium finish ending with notes of fruit and spice. Just OK. Tasting Sample.

I don’t usually rate duplicate wines, but this was so much better (and different) than 9 week ago, it merits a review. This is inky opaque and dense with dark fruit w/approachable tannins - as it unwinds there was distinct notes of espresso, tobacco and incense along w/coarse ground black pepper and vanilla. Really shining and magical stuff. QPR is off the charts, fell hard for this one!

Dark color and very dry. Easy to drink, 93 pts from James Suckling, who is that. Would purchase again

Nice and straightforward Tempranillo. More fruit than herb. Pretty smooth. Good table wine for the price.

Pretty decent tho atypical Toro in that the tannins were quite supple & pliable - this was meant to showcase some dark berry fruits, coffee & mocha. Mid weight and fairly smooth thru finish.
