2004 vintage. At Boca di Lupo in Soho. Medium tawny hue. On the nose, wonderful aromas similar to between a tawny port or even an Oloroso sherry. Lots of sweet spices, sherried oxidative notes, walnuts and dates, dried fruits. Quite complex. On the palate, high acidity keeps the wine very fresh and there's some power and concentration of flavours. Good length on the finish. Really enjoyable. Drink now but suspect this will improve and keep on going for many years to come: 2030+.
