Could be a cab or merlot or a blend. Nice wine, but not typical Syrah. A bit too much new oak as well.

2007 had to have been the best vintage in a while. I'm not a huge fan of this winery, but I also don't know too much about it either. I thought this one was a little off. Too much spice and not enough fruit. $13 / 87pts.

A little VA on this poor kid. Plus rediculous bright for an 09. But, getting past that, still has some redeeming qualities. Deep color, and definitely some blending here...my guess is about 15% Mourvèdre...

Been holding on to this in my ‘Syrah Around the World Box’. Pretty dark and stormy in color. Aroma is barnyards and dark brown sugar with a splash of very ripe red plum. The flavors are dry and peppery. But the finish is way too heavy on the pumpkin spice box and syrup of some dark fruit. Think this got too much oak-age or something. One can sense the nice wine in there, but the subtlety and rich earthy element is lacking. The back of the label mentioned huckleberry, but this ain’t no huckleberry...

Beautiful color and taste. Full bodied and hints of berry and chocolate. Good prices at grocery outlet, a new favorite

Red and black fruit forward lots of pepper and some green bell pepper sub notes. Medium acidity and length.

2008 Vintage. A bit peppery for my taste but worth a second glass!

Enjoyable wine and very mellow from start to finish. Great flavors and not to sharp. Would recommend.
