Classic Zinfandel aged in charred bourbon barrels. Dark purple (almost black) color. Aromas of black cherry, cola and Smokey vanilla. Bold dark berry fruit on the palate with bright notes of baking spices and vanilla. The finish is quite long and the tannins quite soft. Juicy and rich. Great accompaniment to smoked meats, especially the Armadillo eggs Mark S served with this wine. Thanks for sharing, Mark.

Notes of blackberry, raspberry, strawberry jam, and dark chocolate. This is a chewy dry red that lingers in your mouth. The tannins pull on your tastebuds like a four year old wanting your attention. All in all this is a bargain. Drink again with a large piece of red meat or after the children have gone to bed.

Definitely needs to open up for awhile. Drinkable but nothing special and no bourbon flavor at all.

The finish is a bit sweet but I like the bourbon aged touch and the blend of nice overall.

Boring, did not seem like a bourbon barrel aged wine.not horrible but nothing distinctive or interesting.
