Dense purple-red in color. Mint, butter, leather, wood, vanilla and red fruit on nose. A bit less interesting in mouth - red fruit initially (blackberry , cherry), wood. Seed bitterness, cherry and cassis on finish. Minty aftertaste. Some mouth coating astringency. Our first president would find it quaffable, but TJ would drink better. 14.9% alcohol, big but not hot overall.

Fruity on the palate with blackberries, blueberries, black pepper, vanilla, oak and cherries.
Medium to full-bodied with a harsh mouth feel.
Medium finish with soft tannins and spices.
