AFFORDABLE wines YOU ASK?
Here is THE FEDERALIST, zinfandel from dry creek valley. 2018. The boquet is raspberry and rubarb pie. The beginning starts with buttery smooth tart berry jam on toast and develops a Black licorice beginning. The mid palate delivers a punch of spice and pepper and that wonderful cedar impression. The finish is very smooth and again buttery and semidry. I will purchase this again at a low price of 20 bucks a bottle.

Hi octane & over extracted monster w/only faint resemblance to Zinfandel. Almost exclusively fruit focused, yes there is an impressive depth of flavor here but it hits you over the head. Well built tannic structure and red berry fruit delivery to short-ish finish.

Big bouquet of berries. Burst upfront of berries and raspberries and peppery spices. Then a quick fade to a long dry finish. Let it open as it gets spicier.

Nice Zin. A little grapey. Tastes very similar to a Cline Farmhouse Red. Therefore, not worth the price

Very generous, big time extraction boasting super ripe rich dark fruit & spice - very broad & viscous across the mid palate, finely grained tannins, not much in the way of acidity and bordering on a Fruit Bomb bit quite enjoyable. Oh, it’s hot and needs time to unwind & burn off 15% ABV
