A bit reticent aromatically, but still a very nice wine in a great drinking spot. Well balanced, teetering between primary and secondary. Tasty.

Jan 27th, 2020Purchased at the vineyard 15 years ago. Tight, very dry and leathery to start. Slowly unwound, staying big and strapping. Rich red flavors emerged on top of the meaty, leathery notes. Classic big brunello.

Nov 27th, 2019A disappointment 3 years ago, singing tonight. Needed 90 min decant (scary tannins on open). Then, boom, big nose of mushroom and pencil lead. Fig, blackish-red fruit and French oak in a velvety, balanced and structured package with a bit of Sangio-sour-cherry holding it all together. 30 second finish.
This marks 300 notes for me on Delectable. Great platform, hoping the gang running the show don't give up and instead continue to invest and build. It's a perfect platform for uncomplicated wine lovers to learn and share, and has the potential to be even better!
