Magnificent southern Italian (Taurasi) Aglianico. Dark ruby core with a magenta rim. Aromas of ripe plums, leather and dusty herbs. Black cherry and plum dominate the palate with hints of Asian spices and tobacco. Mild tannins and vibrant acidity. Well crafted, perfectly aged and a pleasure to drink. Thanks for opening this one, Keith S! Enjoyed a second bottle a week later. Paired beautifully with a traditional Italian Meal (pasta and tomato sauce.) Revisited again in February 2024. Still outstanding!
