Another fantastic vintage of this Taurasi Reserva. Dark ruby color. Aromas of blackberry, black plum, sweet spices and vanilla. Ripe dark fruit on the palate with additional notes of black pepper and vanilla. Long and lasting finish. Outstanding balance and a beautiful rustic quality. Ripe, complex and concentrated but I expect this wine will soften with additional bottle age. Thanks for sharing this excellent bottle, Kase!

Sep 12th, 2024Magnificent southern Italian (Taurasi) Aglianico. Dark ruby core with a magenta rim. Aromas of ripe plums, leather and dusty herbs. Black cherry and plum dominate the palate with hints of Asian spices and tobacco. Mild tannins and vibrant acidity. Well crafted, perfectly aged and a pleasure to drink. Thanks for opening this one, Keith S! Enjoyed a second bottle a week later. Paired beautifully with a traditional Italian Meal (pasta and tomato sauce.) Revisited again in February 2024. Still outstanding!
