Bright ruby in color with a wide reddish rim and medium intensity.

Sour nose of raspberries, cherries, blueberries, vanilla, wood, eucalyptus, licorice, pencil lead, earth, forest floor, dirt, chocolates and peppercorn.

Medium-bodied with medium plus acidity and long legs.

On the palate, cherries, red currants, raspberries, pomegranates, wood, mint, licorice, spices, vegetables and peppercorn.

Nice length on the finish with extremely soft tannins and tart cherries.

This Tuscan red, is unbalanced, but complex with a nice mouthfeel.

Not my style, as it is too tart to for my taste.
A good food wine, but not one to sip on by the porch.

Aged for 6 months in Oak barrels.

13.5% alcohol by volume.

Light body. Dried cherry nose. Needs to breathe a bit.
Update: It didn't get better, it just got sour. No thanks.

Maremma virtually never disappoints no matter the price point. This is a terrific value priced in the mid-teens.

Good now if I can remember where I bought it? Gets better as it breathes not a bad choice for my burger tonight
