Black olive, baked plum and roasted coffee beans, chai and a smidge of smoky focaccia and fruitcake with an additional, though tiny, trace of mint. Black olive ontinues on the palate in a dusty cloud of fine tannins like a ribbon of underripe cherry, vanilla and oak. Doesn't boast the longest follow-through, but is a tasty little treat that keeps you searching for residue that is lost in the tightening dryness. Very clean, very nice. Like a kid you would let your daughter date, but with all that coffee and tea, you can bet they're going to stay up all night long.

Compared to an Oreno consumed the night before, this one was missing a bit more. It was better with food than on its own. The wine poured with a slight violet color. Nose and front palate of sweeter, slightly black fruits with a hint of fig. Medium + density. Gains a hint of plum with a grit and a tannic finish that is subtle but noticeable. I am not sure this is made to do anything but drink now.
