Ripe, full, acid, well structured in both nose and body. Sage and tobacco, pencil, long and velvety finish.

Rich black cherry currant / savory, medicinal herbs / cedar or other light wood / rich and full with persistent tannins and an extraordinarily long finish

With some age the juicy fruit notes have peeled back a bit to show the rich depth that makes this wine so special

Winemakers dinner with Ornellaia. My god, what will this give in a few years? Already superb now. Again the elegance and finish were intruiging!

This is an OMG vintage. Galloni said to wait until 2025, but I couldn’t. If it’s already a heavy hitter now, I have 2 more that I MIGHT be able to let sit until then.

Smooth, elegant and very well balanced!

More reserved than the Tignanello but with a silky, polished mouthfeel with tannins lurking that will need more time.

This was a real disappointment. It wasn’t over the hill yet, but not very deep or impressive.

I just can’t seem to wait. Not sure I have another of this vintage. If you have one, give it at least another 5 years. It was great, but in 5 it’ll be better.
