Syrah

100% Syrah from Columbia Valley, and 100% killer! Absolutely love the color...not the purple and black darkness you get with Napa Syrahs. It poured a black and faint purple hue with a dustiness/dirtiness to it. On the nose, there is a smokiness note and maybe charcoal. Loads of blackberries, currant, herbs, and just the smallest bit of bitter dark chocolate on the palate and finish. This is after 1hr of air...looking forward to seeing it change with another hour or two. @Eric S , bravo, and thanks for including this in our wine swap!

2016 - opened 2024 lovely smooth dark fruit

This Syrah is smokey like a campfire with a bit of spice. All your Syrah flavors coming alive in the best of ways! I can only imagine it will get better with age.

Bold, rich and textured. Dark fruits with some smokiness.

This wine has a spicy nose to it, with rich deep smoky flavors. With air, black currants and blackberry light up your palette.

Although not your typical Syrah fan, this is one I definitely enjoy! Filled with notes of delicious black fruit, it’s one to be loved by many.

A deep and complex Syrah, this wine brings you savory flavors mixed with sweet wild flowers and blackberries. The aftertaste of light sweet smoke leaves you wanting more!

This is what WA syrahs should aim to be! Rich, deep palate. Bacon fat, cassis and musk on the nose with notes of black fruit, charcoal and bold spices. Pairs just as well with BBQ as it does dark chocolate.

This is quite a smooth, medium-bodied Syrah that comes with a smoky perppercorn body with a little bit of a persistent bite in the finish.
