You rarely find syrah with this kind of finesse and subtlety. Terrific structure, with the fruit and chocolate of syrah but balanced by a palpable minerality. A contemplative syrah where many just try to overpower and overbear.

Had some slight stank that blows off early. After that a really nice showing for being so young. Ready to go now and not big. Good balance.

Nice value, meaty and big red fruit, better than I was hoping for

Very good. Columbia Valley Syrah. Earth, fruit and acid balanced well.

2013. Dark in every way. Blackberry, teriyaki beef jerky, barrel toast, salty, vanilla, black licorice, violets, medium acid. Not subtle but tasty. A little overdone. 5 days later still drinkable. Upped the rating a bit.

Gobs of sweet fruit, tannins are here, but not much acid to speak of. Give me more balance please
