Our Anniversary wine from Telaya. That is as six years ago celebrating our 25th at that time. We found another bottle in our cellar and thought it be a good wine to celebrate our 30th and welcome our 31st this coming March. It was still good. rich, upfront fruit and spiciness. Acetic acid was coming through more predominant as it was in the glass a little longer.

Apr 28th, 2018Champoux vineyard. Absolutely fantastic!!! Deep dark fruit. Tremendous structure with vibrant pepper and lingering tannins. One of those worth fighting over the last sip.

Only 100 cases of this outstanding wine were made. I'm going to hate it when I run out of the '11!
The good news is that Carrie and Earl Sullivan are very good at making tasty Syrahs every year. This is an up and coming boutique winery that is worth following.

Nice finish to a great evening with friends. Excellent Syrah by Telaya with chocolate ganache cake at Capital Cellars. Classic - spice, pepper, etc....
