Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon

My first taste of the 2021. Solid wine.

Solid, but horrible QPR.

Straight shooting Napa Cabernet. Fruit forward and good acidity. Medium finish. Pleasant. Eric Benoît. I drank this decanted over three days. Definitely recommend giving lots of airtime to settle down before drinking.

The 2019. Good wine, good value. I’m buying more.

Not sure how I landed a 2016 but I’ll take it. Typical Benoit wine, beautifully balanced, fruit without being over the top. My only concern is the price keeps climbing each vintage. Still worth the $60 though.

Drank 3/38/18. Tasting event. Tasting pour.

Black fruit and pipe tobacco on the very elegant nose. Fruity, but well balanced with sweet black berry, tobacco, and leather on the palate. Medium finish.

4/22/8/4/3 +50 = 91 pts.

Amazing effort that is finally getting out into the shops in NY. I found this gem at Penn Station liquors and wines. Ask Pascual
