Aromas of Poblano peppers. Hints of mushroom and earth. There is some red berry fruit on the pallet but it is also dominated by green pepper flavors. Hint of black pepper spice and oak on the finish. Nice texture and acidity. Did these grapes ripen enough? Still, the overall quality is still excellent as the wine maker still delivered a drinkable wine.

Dark fruit, prunes and smoke on the nose. Plums, tobacco, meat and a hint of green pepper on the pallet. Lots of hot spices. A little bit of sharpness on the very long finish. Deep purple color.
