Nose: cherries, plums, mushrooms, licorice, wet wool
Taste: big soy sauce with sour cherries and under-ripe strawberries
The first time I had this, it had aged for about 9 years and the tannins were huge - after aging for 15 years, the tannins have mellowed and opened up a very (VERY) subtle sweetness which complements the umami profile really well.

Lovely Tempranillo. Bold, juicy red fruit, vanilla. It was almost too much for an Easter Sunday dinner of lemon-caper pork chops, asparagus, sauteed scallions and potatoes, but the brightness did well against the fat. Great wine for a reasonable price.

taste notes from work: lots of fruit, very concentrated and with depth. Structured and with lots of oak (almost a bit too much, gives a big coconut-fatty feel in body and finish). The fruit and oak part of me loves this wine! Guess it needs some heavily charred meat to be at its best. (btw, heard somewhere this area can range from -18 to +40 C in summer!)
