Even without a flashy label, this wine had me at first whiff πŸ‘Œ

A big thank you to Taltarni for sending over this 2018 old vine Shiraz sample before it was even labelled 😍 It is now labelled and you can buy it through the Taltarni website πŸ€—

The grapes come from vines planted in the 1960s. And this baby has been given a 95 point rating in the recent Halliday Wine Companion and with a cellar age up to 2040 😱

We found it a luscious deep plum purple red colour in the glass. It’s super aromatic with whiffs of baking spice, black fruits and cedar wood. In the mouth it’s juicy and plump yet delicate and sophisticated. Spicy yet fruity. And incredibly moreish πŸ‘Œ

This wine was sent to me as a sample, I was under no obligation to post about it.

All opinions are based on my own taste buds. Wine is subjective & always evolving, so make sure you drink what you enjoy!
