From Trinchero Family Estates, a blend of 60% Cab Sauv and 40% Merlot, dark Ruby with bold dark fruit and floral spice aromas. On the palate, ripe fruits, blackberry and cherry with espresso, cinnamon and tar notes. Dusty tannins, some oak with earthy tones on a medium plus finish. Nice offering, but I think ‘12 was a bit better! The Merlot makes it good to drink now, but let this develop a bit.

Oct 24th, 2018Cedar, subtle leather on the nose. Pretty dry, but soft tannins. Blackberry and subtle cherry. Very solid Cab

Jul 13th, 2024Definitely let it breathe, pepper and dark berry, not as smooth as I would like

Aug 4th, 2018May be a bordeaux blend but you won’t mistake this for a bordeaux. Lots of dark chocolate and clay, but very, very fruit forward showing berry, plum, and currant. A fruit bomb that doesn’t hold back. Got for $22 at Costco. Even at that price it seems overpriced to me.
