Feb 16th, 2015Complex nose of cherry, currant, menthol, Asian spice, and light roast coffee.
Ripe and juicy cherry and red plum with med acidity and med+ tannin. The tannins are smooth and well integrated. Nice, spicy oak notes on the finish.
Really delicious, well made stuff. A bit more oak than I remember from the '15, but it's well integrated.

Nose of cassis, violet, and some subtle eucalyptus and black pepper.
Ripe and juicy (not jammy) currant and cherry with well balanced acidity and med+ fine tannins. Touch of dark chocolate.
Really impressive stuff. Pretty elegant given the high alcohol. Just the kind of wine I like to pair with the right food (ribeye in this case): not overly complex but juicy, pure fruit with nice structure.

Pretty good for the price. Bought at celebrations in james street for around $25. Kim and sarah agreed it was very drinkable
