Tabor Winery Malkiya Cabernet Sauvignon 2014, Israel

Dark ruby in color with a short reddish rim.

Fruity nose of blackberries, cooked cherries, figs, raisins, light cedar, vanilla, spices, licorice, light alcohol, herbs, earth, dark coffee, diet coke, chocolates and peppercorn.

Full bodied and bold with medium plus acidity and long legs.

Dry and fruity on the palate with blackberries, black currants, cooked plums, oak, licorice, cloves, earth, vanilla, light vegetables, dark coffee, herbs, tobacco, chocolates, spices and peppercorn.

Medium plus in finish with fine grained tannins and tangy cherries.

This is a very tasty Cabernet Sauvignon from Israel. Showing nice complexity with a great mouthfeel. Well balanced with a spicy finish. Tastes very much like a high-end California Cabernet.

Good right out of the bottle, and better as it opens up (1 hour). Drinking very nicely now, and will be good in the next 5 years. Rich and extracted.

This 6 year old, Single Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon, could use a few more years in the bottle to mature and gain more complexity. I'd like to revisit this in three years.

Wine Enthusiasts 89 points.

Good by itself or with food. I paired it with a cheese plate.

100% Cabernet Sauvignon grapes grown at elevation of 2500 feet. Aged for 18 months in French Oak barrels. Kosher
