Dec 5th, 2022Deep, vivid ruby. Smoke- and spice-accented cherry cola, dark berry and lavender aromas show fine clarity, and licorice and succulent herb notes emerge with aeration. Gently sweet and broad in the mouth, offering appealingly sweet blackberry, cherry preserve, mocha and floral pastille flavors that tighten up through the midpalate. Gently gripping tannins sneak in slowly on an impressively long finish that strongly repeats the spice and floral notes. (Josh Raynolds, Vinous, July 2022)

Sep 29th, 2021Hard cherry candy that blew off after about an hour decant. It continued to improve from there as layers of red fruit piled on and carried through the finish. It fell slightly hollow in the mid palate where perhaps some additional age might help develop some complexity.

Apr 10th, 2020Just at the point where it’s about to turn from primary to secondary. Fruit still ripe, but now well integrated and the tannins have mostly resolved. Present acidity carries through the mid palate and fresh finish.
