A little disappointed. Not flawed but not drinking great. Not much better the second day. Stewed fruits, disjointed tannin and a lot of alcohol.

Deeelish! This wine was good on so many levels. Earthy, stewed fruit bouquet, full bodied, bold tannins, all balanced with a nice long finish

Holy tannins! Do not open unless you have hours to decant, it needs time. Black fruit, brunt earth, slightly floral - roses, chewy to say the least. BIG.

Big & bold. Black fruit, coffee, vanilla, wood underlaid with a certain kind of sweetness.

The Tabarrini Montefalco Sagrantino ages 18 months in casks, 18 months in small barrels and 18 months in the bottle before its release. This is an absolute minimum to tame its tannines. The wine is dark, dense and a mouthful! Its firm structure is accompanied by cherry, plum, and black berry. Age worthy still!
