A little disappointed. Not flawed but not drinking great. Not much better the second day. Stewed fruits, disjointed tannin and a lot of alcohol.

Dark, dense and intense. It’s big bold tannins are making my mouth tingle and pucker long after the liquid has vanished down my throat. On the nose I get bay leaf and eucalyptus. In the glass, those flavors carry through with some tart blackberries.

High tannins, acid without ripping your face off. Long dry finish. Another lay down to see how much better it will become.

A king of wines. Outstanding! 2005 is a cracking year.

Delicious but needs 5 more years in bite and a ribeye cooked in duck fat to handle those tannins.

Savory, rustic, appropriately a bit sweet. Passito.
